What happens when I switch to a new phone?

When you have a new phone and you re-install your app or Notifire it will ask you again to verify your phone number. Once that is done, your push registration will be updated and push messages will arrive on your new phone. Please allow 10 minutes for push to work on a reinstalled app. This because our routing system updates the database every 10 minutes.

If you don’t install the app on your new phone, and you did not delete the app of your old phone; most likely our hybrid platform will still try to push the message to your old device. If you delete the app on your old phone, the push message will fail and our system will automatically send the message via SMS to your new device.
