How to add new ticket types

Many different functionalities are available in the Ticketing Dashboard that can help you get started with the online ticket sales for your event. One of these functionalities is the creation of different ticket types within your ticket shop.

The fastest way to add a new ticket type

  1. Open the tab Tickets and add a new ticket type by clicking the New ticket type button.
  2. Fill in the ticket name, price and capacity. Toggle the button unlimited capacity when you don’t have a fixed capacity for this ticket category.
  3. Press Save


Extra options

  1. Press the ticket type bar. Extra ticket type options become visible.
  2. If wanted, fill in a ticket type subtitle and description.
  3. Choose ticket template in the drop down Template.
  4. Choose the status of the ticket type in the drop down Status.
  5. Press the flags to add different titles and descriptions for the available languages.
  6. Press save


Advanced options

  1. Press the text Show advanced options.
  2. Select the checkbox Min Order Amount when the minimum order is more than ticket. Choose the minimum required amount of tickets in the drop down menu.
  3. Select the checkbox Max Order Amount when one visitor can only order a certain amount of tickets. Choose the maximum ticket order per visitor in the drop down menu.
  4. Select the checkbox Expire period to set how long a ticket is valid after the purchase. This is option is very handy for fixed locations or long-term events. The default setting is Ongoing. Other options in the drop down menu are 1 month, 3 months and a year.
  5. Select the checkbox Validity period to set in what period a ticket is valid and it can be scanned. This can be used for a multi-day event. For example, you can set the period of the Saturday tickets to the correct date and set the period of the Sunday tickets to the correct date.
  6. Select the Specify purchase period when your ticket type has a start and an end date. The ticket type becomes available om the selected starting date and hour in your ticket shop. The ticket type will disappear from the shop at the selected end date and hour. Press the button ‘Apply’ to save the ticket type purchase period.
  7. Select the checkbox External Reference 2 to give the ticket type a reference for usage in internal processes.
  8. Select the checkbox External Reference 3 to give the ticket type a reference for usage in internal processes.
  9. Select the checkbox Tags to divide a ticket type in different subgroups. This advanced option is used when offering peak and off-peak rates.


Delete a ticket type

  1. Select the event in the drop down menu
  2. Click the Event Settings tab
  3. Open the tab Tickets
  4. Press the ticket type bar of the ticket you want to delete
  5. Press the Garbage can icon to remove the selected ticket type
  6. The ticket type is deleted
  7. Note: a ticket type cannot be deleted if a number of this type has already been sold.
